A long-lost friend – background

Nei precedenti post Long-Lost friend avevamo spiegato che questi disegni sono presi da giochi della playstation. Questo non perché pensiamo che la realtà e il gioco siano equivalenti e che si possa scambiare l’uno per l’altro, nonostante tutto ciò che si può pensare sulla percezione come atto creativo e sul reale come illusione, ma perché per il nostro piccolo lavoro, per le sue intenzioni formali, il medium per ora usato è effettivamente così.
Non tanto, per noi, la realtà che si confonde con la virtualità negli occhi dell’osservatore, ma l’osservatore stesso che potrebbe essere sostituito da qualcosa d’altro o essere a tal punto modificato rispetto anche a non molto tempo fa da essere effettivamente un altro.
O di tendere a diventare altro.
Approfondiremo, ma già ne abbiamo a lungo parlato nei precedenti post, in particolare nelle interviste.

In previous posts Long-Lost friend, we had explained that these drawings are taken from playstation games. This is not because we think that reality and the game are equivalent and that we can exchange one for the other, despite all that we can think about perception as a creative act and about reality as an illusion, but for our little work, For his formal intentions, the medium used  is actually so.

Not so much because, for us, the reality that is confused with the Virtuality in the eyes of the observer, but the observer himself  could be replaced by something else or be so modified compared to even not long ago to be actually someone else.

Or to tend to become something else.
